Export transfers administrative control of one vault. It does not move shareholder assets or shares.

Prerequisites

  • The destination EOA or ERC-1271 contract address
  • A plan to operate strategy, fees, shareholders, pauses, and source movements after export

1. Open the vault settings

In the Ground Portal, open the MicroVault and select Settings. Find Vault authority, then select Export MicroVault.

2. Review the destination

Enter the new authority address and verify it carefully. Export does not move assets or shares, but the destination gains control over strategy, fees, shareholder access, pauses, and source movements. Confirm the acknowledgement and submit the export. Ground sends the authority transfer for onchain confirmation.

3. Wait for confirmation

Keep the settings dialog open until the Portal reports that the export is complete. Do not attempt another export while the first transfer is pending.

Confirm the export

The vault displays the destination as its authority and Ground-managed settings become read-only. Returning control requires the new authority to transfer it back. After export, the new authority must manage strategy updates, shareholder-list changes, fees, pauses, source permissions, rebalances, and asynchronous source operations. Confirm that your authority tooling can perform these actions before exporting a vault that holds assets.
